Your irrigation design is the foundation for a well-constructed and long-lasting sprinkler system. A great design takes into consideration soil, plant material, drainage, and many other factors that are not part of the layout and material.

Design Steps

Before the first shovel penetrates the ground, Sprinkler and Irrigation Services will assess your landscape and determine the following:

• What is the size of the property?
• Soil Type: Clay vs. loam vs. sand
• Flat terrain vs. hills and slopes
• Sunny areas vs. shady areas
• Type of landscape design and the location of existing trees, shrubs, planting beds, and turf
  Water requirements of all the different plants
• Location and type of driveways, walkways, and patios
• The source of water, point of connection, water pressure, and volume
• Type of backflow device required
• Location of all sprinkler heads, drip irrigation, pipe, valves, wiring, controller, and point of connection
• Promote a healthy, thriving landscape

We “flag the yard,” which means you will see where every head in the yard will be going. Every sprinkler system is custom-designed to meet the unique needs of the customers’ yard.

We offer complete design services for your residential or commercial property. We focus on providing you with a system that will differentiate between the many components of your landscape. The true cost of your irrigation system is not the cost of installation but rather the cost to operate the system. Therefore, the initial design must be based on the actual multiple demands for water that exist in any landscape. This will ensure that you are not overwatering one area to apply the correct amount of water to another. We are fortunate enough to have one of Nebraska’s very few contractors with a CID (certified Irrigation Designer) from the Irrigation Association. CIDs establish specifications and design drawings for landscape irrigation projects. They also evaluate site conditions and determine water availability and use requirements, selecting the most effective irrigation equipment, methods, and materials for the application. They are Certified to develop efficient and cost-effective irrigation designs that meet the plant’s watering requirements, and prepare comprehensive plans and specifications that include construction details, equipment, or materials, as well as appropriate irrigation schedules.
