PRODUCTS TO ENHANCE YOUR SPRINKLER SYSTEM

Based on our experience of thousands of installs and from years of servicing all brands of sprinkler products we know what works and what lasts. Again, our goal is to provide the customer with the highest possible value for their sprinkler dollar. Manufactures are continually innovating and creating amazing products, unfortunately no ONE company has the best products. Many companies will offer quality parts on the surface but substitute with sub-par installation underground. Our solutions are engineered to reduce maintenance issues in the future as we look to establish long term relationships with our clients. Although you might not see what is in the ground, we do, and it matters

DOING IT RIGHT TO KEEP YOU SAFE

Your health and safety is an important concern for us. Long gone are the days when you could just install an irrigation system off your garden hose bib. The plumbing code requires the installation of a Back Flow Prevention Device. Failing to do it right cost homeowners hefty fines and puts the family at risk of getting sick.

THE COMPLETE INSTALLATION PACKAGE

Our process takes care of all the details. Upon completion we perform a quality assurance process to ensure everything is perfect. Our team goes through an orientation and education presentation so you know how to operate your irrigation system. We create maps showing where lines are buried and where sprinklers are installed. We come back after 30 days to fine tune the system and address any concerns you may have. Finally we include the winterization of your system for that first season. We believe that when we quote you a price, it should include all the costs with no extra surprises in the year.

HUNTER’S PGP ULTRA ROTOR

Rotors are the sprinkler heads most people probably think of when they hear the word “sprinkler”. Hunter’s PGP Ultra is the rotary sprinkler head of choice here at Sprinkler & Irrigation Services. The PGP Ultra throws a jet-stream of water 20 to 40 feet to cover the larger turf areas, such as front and backyards. Fully adjustable in rotation and water throw radius, this is the one that has everyone running through the yard on a hot summer day! Remember: Rotors Rotate! PGP Ultras have a warranty life of 5 years.

HUNTER’S PRO-SPRAY

I bet you didn’t know that when you see our Hunter Pro-Spray sprinklers pop up; you’re looking at the strongest spray head in the irrigation industry. This is the sprinkler head that you are going to see consistently “spraying” smaller or more irregularly shaped turf areas, such as side yards and parkways/boulevards. There are a number of different fixed pattern and adjustable arc nozzles for the Pro-Spray that allow for different spray patterns. Another nozzle option for the Pro-Spray is the Matched Precipitation Rotator (MP), which delivers uniformity throughout the spray pattern. Convenient in efficiency and easy on the eyes, you might see an occasional MP nozzle being used to fill in the zone design. Pro-Sprays have a warranty life of 5 years.

HUNTER’S 1” PGV VALVE

Let’s face the facts, no one likes to work in cramped spaces; and there usually isn’t much wiggle room in valve boxes. To combat this, we choose to use Hunter’s PGV valves for their ease of access and disassembly during system diagnostics. It is the industries tested and proven, most reliable and durable valve on the market. If the manifold inside the valve box is considered to be the “heart” of a sprinkler system, then the valves are the “gates” that allow water to flow through the manifold to the sprinkler heads in the yard. 1” PGV valves have a warranty life of 2 years.

HUNTER’S X2 CONTROLLER

With large turn dial programming and the option to upgrade to the Hydrawise app for remote programming, Hunter’s X2 controller is a complimentary combo of old and new. Allowing water schedules to be programmed with ease, there are a number of extra features available to be set according to the yards specific needs. In addition, the X2 is compatible with many different sensors to improve the overall efficiency of a sprinkler system. Acting as the “brain” of a sprinkler system, a controller lets the system know when to turn on in accordance with the scheduled programs. It sends electric signals to the valves letting them know to “OPEN THE GATE!!” X2 controllers have a warranty life of 2 years.

HUNTER’S WIRELESS RAIN-CLIK SENSOR

If having an underground sprinkler system isn’t already convenient enough as it is; installing Hunter’s Wireless Rain-Clik sensor will further enhance system efficiency in rainy conditions. Usually fixed to a front corner gutter by us at Sprinkler & Irrigation Services, the sensor catches rain and sends a signal to the controller letting it know to shut down any active zones. With Hunter’s Quick Response technology built in, Rain-Clik sensors will not have to accumulate any rainfall and will instantly shut down a system when rain is detected. This will prevent overwatering and pooling in low elevation points. Don’t be a fool by letting your yard pool; install a rain sensor today and save more than just dollars and cents! Wireless Rain-Clik sensors have a warranty life of 5 years.

HUNTER DRIPLINE

Have you ever walked through a landscaping bed; and for a split second, freaked because you thought you saw a snake slithering through the mulch? Well you might have, but if it wasn’t, chances are what you’ve stumbled upon is our choice product in micro irrigation: Hunter dripline! Dripline literally lives up to its name by “dripping” water through emitters to precisely target roots of plants, shrubs, and trees. As an eco-friendly product, Hunter dripline is made up of mostly reprocessed resins while still possessing the sustainability needed for a long-lasting product. Hunter dripline has a warranty life of 5 years.

CENTENNIAL’S POLYETHYLENE PIPE (POLY)

We use Centennial’s 1” blue polyethylene pipe (poly) as the main feeder lines that make up each zone of the system. Poly is plowed from the valves that are in the valve box directly, or within a close vicinity, to each sprinkler head on the property. A saddle and/or fitting is attached to the poly to run 1/2’’ swing pipe for sprinkler head connection. Made from high quality resins, poly has the strength and durability to last 50 years in harsh weather conditions.

RAINBIRD’S SWING PIPE

Swing pipe is a small pipe used to make the connection between poly lines and the sprinkler heads. Sometimes referred to as “funny” pipe due to its ultra-flexibility and high kink resistance, there is no humor in swing pipes superior capability to transfer water efficiently in whatever hardscapes or rough terrain it is routed through. We choose Rainbird’s swing pipe not only for its durability, but for its snug fit to barbed inserts and ease of grip while handling it.

BACKFLOW PREVENTERS

Backflow preventers are, by law, a necessary sprinkler system installation that can only be completed by a fully licensed master plumber. At Sprinkler and Irrigation Services we not only use the best products, but we also only hire the most capable plumbers in Omaha. The backflow is often installed on the side of your house and makes up the first segment of a sprinkler system. It connects the water supply from your house to the sprinkler system. A backflow will prevent the possibility of house flooding and/or contamination of city water by stopping the water in the system from flowing back into the house. System readings and winterizations can also be completed at the back flow.
