DUSTIN NIHSEN

Dustin E. Nihsen CID, CIC, CLIA. I want to help put “Professionalism back in our Profession.” I have 30 plus years of Sprinkler/Irrigation Experience, with a demonstrated history of operations and sales growth. I have dug many holes in my days and have designed up to $1M sprinkler systems. I have a BS focused in management and marketing from Bellevue University. I am Skilled in AutoCAD, Budgeting, Legal Compliance, and Sales. I believe Growth comes to us with new clients, existing clients, and our staff.

Since a young age on my grandfather’s farm, I was enamored with water and mud. They had hydrants on the Farm, and I would always create rivers, Damns, Streams, Tributaries, and even mini irrigation systems in the dirt nearby. While in high school it was important to my parents that I maintain a job of some sort, so I chose to work outdoors so I could get a tan. One day the Owner came to all of us and asked if anyone wanted to try sprinkler systems and I volunteered. I was no fun. I had to dig holes in hard clay dirt in the hot summer sun. Yet, it taught me patience, character, and how to put in and fix sprinkler systems. I have worked for a few companies in town and more recently was the GM of one of the Midwest’s largest sprinkler companies.

I’ve always thought that no matter what I did in life, I should be the best at it. During my years, I have designed over 10k sprinkler systems. I went and received certificates from the Irrigation Association in Irrigation Auditing, Contracting, and Design. These were not easy and tested my ability to learn again. There are less than a couple contractors in Nebraska with the same credentials.

While not nerding out in an excel spreadsheet, I enjoy hunting, golfing, tequila, and hanging out with good friends and family.
